Our company has built a reputation of providing “Best in Class” service and delivery of aluminum alloys that offer protection and light-weighting for improved safety and mobility.
Aluminum’s high strength to weight ratio makes it the ideal material for many defense product applications.
MILITARY AIRCRAFT
Today, Chalco Aluminum plate and sheet is used on more than 20 military aircraft and helicopters including: The J-10, Y-9, Y-20, JF-17, Y-12, FTC2000, J10B and H-6K. The Military Aircraft industry demands high-strength aluminum products that perform in challenging and often harsh environments. In addition to traditional plate, Chalco Aluminum produces aerospace plate, which is a superior plate product, highly engineered with specific performance attributes for machining complex parts. Chlaco Aluminum also produces rod, bar and tube products for high-strength applications.
Because of aluminum’s light weight and excellent damage tolerance capability; it is used in a large number of products ranging from simple component to primary load bearing structures for military aircraft. Current applications include: vertical stabilizers, horizontal stabilizers, plate for trailing edges, spars, ribs, fuselage frames and air intake shells.

VEHICLE ARMOR
Chalco Aluminum manufactures plate in thickness ranges from 6mm to 250mm. Our enhanced ballistic performance Chalco Select 5083 &7A52 armor plate is available in gauges from 6.35mm to 76.2mm. Aluminum’s light weight and high strength make it ideal for armoring vehicles. Chalco Aluminum provides material for manufacturing armor and mine blast kits for a variety of military platforms.
