Channel fin for oil cooler

The water side structure of the existing oil cooler mainly has the following two kinds:

Firstly, the water side adopt the chip stretched lug boss structure, for oil cooler heat dissipation performance, the cold side flow field of lug boss structure is distributing uniformly , water flow velocity has little difference between the lug boss nearby and the edge of it:but lug boss structure of water side turbulent flow effect is poor, the cold side heat radiating area of whole radiator is small.

Secondly, the water side adopt the Normal channel fins structure, the longitudinal section of common channel fin approximation on wave type, and the top of each wave with the length of bottom edges is almost same , according of whether the transverse adjacent two waves are staggeredchannel fin can be divided into open window style and not open the window style. So the performance characteristics of the common channel fin structure is contrary to the lug boss structure, the turbulent water side effect is good, the heat radiating area is large, but the water flow field is not distributing uniform, the internal flow speed of channel fin is far less than the flow on the edge, and the internal water of channel fin is hard to exchange with the water in the oil cooler.Making for the cooling water directly flow away through the ambient area of cooler  and does not participate in the heat exchange, resulting in heat exchange is not ideal.

At present, in order to solve this problem, the channel fin is often broken into three or four blocks. Although this can improve the flow field of the cooling water, the effect is not always ideal. At the same time, it is very difficult to ensure the distance between the fin and the block and the uniformity between the upper and the lower sides of the fins. Therefore, such products are uneven, uneven spacing, not only the cooling effect is not obvious, but also bring inconvenience to the product assembly, and affect the appearance.
